The Center for New Technology Adaptation under the Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center/Ministry of Defense was established under Decision No. 517/QD-ND dated September 9, 1998 of the General Director of Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center. At present, the number of the center is 28 comrades, in which the staff has high qualifications: doctor (01 Cadre), master (04 Cadres), and bachelor (03 Cadres) belonging to different branches, majoring in environment, mechanical engineering, automation, new materials, economics, business administration and a team of highly skilled workers to meet the needs of science and technology.

The Center has a factory system of nearly 3000 m2, which is fully equipped with modern machines: Trupunch 1000, Trubend 3120, Trulaser 11030, milling machines, sawing machines, welding machines, etc. imported directly from Germany. The division of office, warehouse and workshop areas meets ISO 9001:2008 quality standards.

FUNCTIONS

Pursuant to Decision No. 187/QD-ND dated March 10, 2004 of the General Director of the Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center, the Center for New Technology Adaptation is a unit directly under the Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center performing the function of studying and applying science and technology within the framework of the Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center's functions and tasks.

MISSION

- Organize research, adaptation, application and testing of new products, materials and new technical means to meet the needs of the army and the people.

- Coordinate with functional agencies, science and technology units of the Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center to deploy technology transfer contracts with foreign countries, mainly the Russian Federation, along the route of Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center.

- Implement scientific and technical services and technology transfer. Design, manufacture, construction and installation of water supply and wastewater treatment works, clean rooms, supply gas treatment equipment, exhaust gases and laboratory equipment.

- Participate in consulting and training on science and technology according to the above activities

ACHIEVEMENTS AND REWARDS

The Center for New Technology Adaptation has researched, manufactured as well as carried out the transfer of technologies and products in the field of mechanical engineering, machine manufacturing and environmental treatment: Water treatment technology; Wastewater treatment technology; Supply gas treatment technology; Exhaust gas treatment technology; Technology to treat solid waste, industrial waste; System of clean rooms, cabinets, fume hoods and equipment for chemical and biotechnology laboratories inside and outside the military; New materials. In particular, all technologies and equipment are studied from grassroots, city, Ministry of National Defense and State level projects. Science and technology products are applied nationwide inside and outside the military and are highly appreciated by the market.

Rewards:

- 02 gold medals, 01 certificate of merit from the organization board of the Vietnam International Industrial Fair in 1997.

- Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Defense at the Vietnam Green Week exhibition in June 2000.

- Third prize in the competition "Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation" (VIFOTEC) for priority technologies.

- Third Class Victory Medal in 2002 by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

- 2005 Techmart Vietnam Gold Cup awarded by the Ministry of Science and Technology

- Environmental Gold Cup for the product of the Microbiology Cabinet of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of Nature and Environment.

- 02 gold medals "Quality products for public health 2006" for products: Chemical fume hood HC.02 and Microbiological incubator TCV.021 awarded by the Ministry of Health.
