The Complex testing laboratory was established in 2000. 

MAIN RESEARCH DIRECTIONS

- Researching on accelerated testing to evaluate durability and predict the service life of materials and technical equipment working in the tropical climate of Vietnam.

- Researching and developing recommendations to protect materials, weapons and technical equipment against corrosion, aging, biological destruction in exploitation, use and preservation.

- Providing testing services, technology transfer: acceleration testing, testing of mechanical, physical and chemical criteria of materials, technical equipment for customers inside and outside the military, domestic and international customers according to Vietnamese or international standards.

FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT

The Complex testing laboratory has 02 laboratories at the main campus, 01 laboratory at the Tay Tuu, Bac Tu Liem, Hanoi meeting ISO/IEC 17025 standards with many modern testing equipment of famous brands in the world such as Atlats, Weiss-technic... including: Research equipments, acceleration testing equipments, materials assessment equipments. coating, evaluation of plastic, rubber, polymer materials.

RESULTS 

- Annually testing an average of 50 natural testing programs with thousands of different material samples, details, assemblies including: metals, alloys, coatings, rubbers, polymers, corrosion inhibitor, preservative grease, fabric, glass, composite, plastic, electronic components...

- Having developed methods to predict the service life of coatings and preservative greases.

- Having developed and issued many TCVN/QS standards on natural testing and accelerated testing for different groups of materials.

- Providing natural testing, accelerated testing, marine testing and testing of mechanical, physical and chemical parameters of materials for many domestic and international customers, customers inside and outside the military, companies, big corporation...

- Researching and developing technology to preserve materials and equipment by dry gas technology.

FORM OF COOPERATION

- Coordinating with units inside and outside the Institute of Tropical Durability to perform tasks in the field of natural testing;

- Performing testing services with agencies and units inside and outside the Army, domestic and international units.
