High-tech Research and Treatment Center (Center) is a unit of the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Vietnam-Russia Tropical Center, was established on July 6, 2011, is the facility of of medical practice combined with scientific research. Over the years, the unit has constantly developed and grown with a team of qualified and experienced doctors, nurses and technicians, modern facilities and equipment of specialties such as Hyperbaric oxygen treatment, testing, ultrasound, radiology, oriental medicine and rehabilitation, otorhinolaryngology, Odonto-Stomatology... which has become a prestigious medical examination and treatment address and contributes practical research with high practical value.
The High-tech Research and Treatment Center is presiding over 01 project at the Ministry of National Defense level and has accepted 4 grassroots-level projects, coordinating with laboratories to conduct clinical trials of biomedical research. The topics are closely related to clinical practice, serving the medical examination and treatment for officials, soldiers and the people.
One of the strengths of the High-tech Research and Treatment Center is to support the treatment of diseases with hyperbaric oxygen therapy. This is a medical technique transferred by the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Center from the Russian Federation, a pioneer in Vietnam in this field. The high pressure oxygen Laboratory has a team of experienced specialist doctor, nurses and technicians. Modern facilities and equipment with 8 single chamber machines, with air conditioning in the oxygen chamber, external monitor for patient monitoring. Up to 20 to 40 patients per day. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is especially effective in treating diseases such as cerebral ischemia, vestibular disorders, migraine, rehabilitation after stroke, sudden deafness, radiation-induced tissue necrosis, children autism and cerebral palsy, etc.
Oriental medicine and rehabilitation is also an important Laboratory of the High-tech Research and Treatment Center with 15 beds for procedures, a room for preparing traditional medicines and automatic decoction. Acupressure massage, acupuncture and spinal manipulation are the strengths of the Oriental Medicine Laboratory. The team of doctors, nurses and technicians are skilled, experienced, have modern equipment such as spinal stretching machine, short wave machine, ultrasound machine… The activities of checking pulse, prescription, decoction continuously have growth, effective treatment of diseases of cerebral circulatory insufficiency, spinal degeneration, hypogonadism, menstrual disorders, lipid metabolism disorders. The combination of treatment of patients between hyperbaric oxygen therapy and oriental medicine for rehabilitation is a combination of modern medicine and traditional medicine that has been bringing good results to patients.
The laboratory is equipped with automated and semi-automatic biochemistry and hematology testing systems to ensure the needs of routine and intensive testing. In addition to hematological tests, assessment of liver and kidney function, monitoring of blood fat and blood sugar indexes, etc., tests for cancer markers such as liver, lung, stomach, colorectal, breast, uterine cancers... The testing Laboratory deploys services such as medical examination, testing and infusion as prescribed by the doctor, dressing changes, and thread trimming at home.
The High-tech Research and Treatment Center is one of the few medical facilities equipped with a panorama digital dental X-ray machine along with a standard X-ray system to provide clear images for diagnosis and treatment.
Well-equipped laboratory supplies high techniques such as: general abdominal ultrasound, thyroid ultrasound, ultrasound of kidney, liver, biliary tract, prostate, 2D and 4D fetal ultrasound, ultrasound of uterus, appendages, mammary glands, etc.
The otorhinolaryngology treatment Laboratory performs endoscopic examination of the ear, nose, and throat for early detection of nasopharyngeal tumors, nasopharyngeal neoplasms, laryngeal cancer, Amydal tumors, tongue root tumors, Sinus tumor, laryngeal granuloma... Examination and treatment of diseases: Acute and chronic otitis media, Ear tube fungus, Ear tube boil, Sudden deafness, tinnitus, hearing loss...; Acute and chronic rhinosinusitis, allergic rhinitis, hypertrophy of the nasal turbinate; Acute and chronic pharyngitis, Acute and chronic Amydalitis, Granulomatous pharyngitis...; Acute and chronic laryngitis, laryngeal small cyst, laryngeal small granules, laryngeal fungus, hoarse voice, shortness of breath...
The Laboratory of Odonto-Stomatology is currently implementing dental examination and treatment services (tarrying, filling, root canal treatment, tooth extraction…) and specialized services such as cosmetic porcelain teeth, orthodontics to difficult techniques such as implant, fixed dental restorations, removable prostheses...
