Hoa Lac natural weathering testing station is located in Yen Binh commune, Thach That district, on the outskirts of Hanoi, 96km from the sea. The station has a typical climate for the Northern Midlands.
MAIN RESEARCH DIRECTIONS
- Researching and nature testing to assess the durability of materials, weapons and technical equipment under the impact of tropical climate;
- Research and develop methods, standards and natural test to assess the durability of materials, weapons, weapons, and technical equipment.
FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT
- The Campbell weather station automatically measures, records, and transmits 14 climate and environmental parameters to the laboratory at the Main Campus;
- The Station is equipped with outdoor exposure rack system on meadow garden, concrete yard, in storehouse without walls, and in storehouse with louver windows and doors. The exposure rack system is fixed or can rotate towards the sun to receive most energy, to accelerate natural testing. At the station, also have racks to test microbiological destruction of different material samples in tropical conditions. Room for preperd sample processing before and after testing;
- Equipment to test and evaluate the surface state and some properties of materials;
- Microbiological testing area.
