Laboratory of Adaptation and Military Medicine
Head of Laboratory: Dr. Nguyen Hong Quang
The Laboratory of Adaptation and Military Medicine is a unit under the Institute of Tropical Medicine, which conducts in-depth research on military medicine; applies and transfers modern technologies and techniques to improve the occupational health and adaptability of soldiers in tropical conditions. Laboratory regularly cooperates with military medical staff at units during the implementation of research tasks.
MAIN RESEARCH DIRECTIONS
- Researching on psychophysiology, occupational health and adaptability of soldiers in tropical conditions.
- Researching on the influence of specific military operational environmental factors on the soldier's health and measures to protect and improve occupational health.
- Researching, applying, and transferring advanced technologies and techniques to ensure health and improve combat training effectiveness for troops working in specific environments.
FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT
The laboratory of the Laboratory of Adaptation and Military Medicine has specialized and synchronous research equipment in each direction:
- Researching on adaptive and psycho-physiological characteristics of soldiers working in specific fields: Device for body function assessment Ritm-Met; Device for research and evaluation of psychophysiology Egoscop; Device for handheld psychophysiological research UPFT-1/30; Psychophysiological research and testing system NS- Pshychostest; Training system for military pilots and submariners StatoErgometr-EU; The system of exercise to restore the body's functional state according to the principle of biofeedback Reacor... The psychophysiological research devices are all manufactured by the Russian Federation.
- Researching on specific military operating environment: Thermal radiation and microclimate meter; Electromagnetic field meter; Multi-parameter gas concentration meter; Noise meter; Light intensity meter; Respiratory dust concentration meter; Radiation intensity meter; Vibration meter; Gas sampler...
