The Office of Vietnam Subcommittee was established under Decision No. 117/QD-QP dated May 7, 1988 by the Minister of Defense on the establishment of the Office of Vietnamese Side within the Soviet-Vietnam Tropical Center Coordination Committee.
FUNCTIONS
- The Office of the Vietnam Subcommittee operates in accordance with the organizational structure and regulations of the Vietnam Subcommittee within the Vietnam-Russia Intergovernmental Coordinating Committee on the Joint Vietnam-Russia Tropical Science and Technology Research Center (VRTC), as approved by the Chairman of the Vietnam Subcommittee, the Deputy Minister of National Defense.
- The Office of the Subcommittee serves as the daily and direct support agency for the Chairman of the Vietnam Subcommittee in organizing and implementing its activities. It is responsible for assisting the Chairman in monitoring the situation and data, communicating with relevant agencies, seeking directives from higher authorities to promptly address the regular tasks of the Vietnam Subcommittee, and coordinating with the Russian Subcommittee in the execution of the Coordinating Committee's activities.
DUTIES
- Execute specialized tasks in accordance with the organizational and operational regulations of the Vietnam Subcommittee within the Vietnam-Russia Intergovernmental Coordinating Committee on VRTC and the tasks approved by the Chairman of the Vietnam Subcommittee.
- Manage the documents and data of the Vietnam Subcommittee.
- Provide information, data, prepare proposals, and draft documents for meetings.
- Chair and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to prepare content and organize the working sessions of the Coordinating Committee, meetings of the Vietnam Subcommittee; coordinate with the Russian Subcommittee to implement activities and meetings of the Coordinating Committee on VRTC.
- Execute other tasks assigned by the Chairman of the Vietnam Subcommittee.
- Carry out tasks related to military administration, Party and political work assigned by the VRTC’s Party Standing Committee and the General Director of the center.
