Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation visit Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center

In the morning of November 25th, 2019, on the occasion of his official official visit to Vietnam's Ministry of Science and Technology, the Russian Federation’s Minister of Science and Higher Education  Katiukov Mikhail Mikhailovich visited Vietnam-Russia Tropical Center. Welcoming the Minister and the Russian delegation included the member of the Center's Board of General Directors and Mr. Vadim Bublikov - Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Hanoi.

Minister Katiukov MM and the delegation visited the Center’s traditional hall and a number of typical laboratories such as the Dioxin Analysis laboratory, Tropical Technical laboratory, and Kamaz-truc-based mobile laboratory vehicles for monitoring and diagnosis of tropical diseases sponsored by Russia. The Minister listened to the Center's Co-General Director brief report on the process of construction and development over the past 30 years, the current situation, and development orientation in the coming time.

At the meeting, the Minister acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the Center over the past time and emphasized the potentials for cooperation between the two countries within the framework of Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center in the fields of Science and Tropical Technology, including expert training exchange. As the highest leader of the host organization of the Russian side under the Intergovernmental Agreement on Vietnam-Russia Tropical Center, the Minister emphasized that he would pay attention to promoting the operation of the Center, especially the assurance of Russian scientists’ regularly work in Vietnam through the Russian Division to the Intergovernmental Coordination Committee on Vietnam-Russia Tropical Center.

The meeting and working session took place in a warm atmosphere of friendship between Vietnam and Russia.
