Workshop on new method and technology for cancer treatment

On September 13th, 2016, in Hanoi, Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center, in collaboration with the Russian Center for Science and Culture, held a workshop on the new method and technology for cancer treatment of BEBIG Co.,Ltd - Russian Federation.This is one of the activities to implement the Russian-Vietnamese Enterprise Project "Russian enterprises in the economic space of Vietnam: Strategy in partnership".

Major General, Dr. Nguyen Hong Du, Director General of Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center, chaired the Workshop. Attending the workshop were Major General, Professor-Dr. Le Trung Hai, Deputy Director of the Military Medical Department/Ministry of Defense and cadres and doctors from the Military Medical Department and Vietnam-Russia Tropical Center.

Speaking at the opening of the Workshop, the Director General of Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center highly appreciated the activities within the framework of the Russian - Vietnamese enterprise project that was launched in Vietnam since April 2012 and expressed his hope that through the Workshop, experts would pay more attention to the high-tech methods and new technologies for cancer treatment of BEBIG Co.,Ltd and their applicability in the medical industry in Vietnam.

At the Workshop, the representative of BEBIG Co.,Ltd introduced the main information about the company as well as its mission and scientific achievements, focusing on the I-125 low dose radioactive seed implantation (internal radiation therapy) method for treatment of prostate cancer and compared the advantages and disadvantages of this method with some other methods for the treatment of prostate cancer prostate (surgical or oral drug taking to prevent tumor enlargement, chemotherapy methods, etc.).

The participants highly appreciated the scientific results of BEBIG Co.,Ltd, had many exchange ideas and questions on related issues, especially the method of internal radiation therapy for treatment of prostate cancer, and wished that the new cancer treatment methods and technology of BEBIG Co.,Ltd would soon be transferred to a number of medical facilities in Vietnam.

The representative of BEBIG Co.,Ltd answered the questions of the delegates and expressed the wish to cooperate through Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center, be willing to transfer the technology and methods, and, in the immediate future, to cooperate in staff training on this new method.
